75th Annual Juried Exhibit by the Ceramic League of Miami (CLM)

By Fine Arts Ceramic Center Team

Unlike previous editions, this exhibition will go beyond the display of works, offering a series of conferences and workshops led by renowned international experts and artists. These educational activities will be aimed at both students and professionals, fostering learning and dialogue on the latest trends, techniques, and approaches in ceramic art.

The jury for this edition will be composed of highly recognized figures in the contemporary art world, who will not only evaluate the submitted works but also participate in panel discussions on the future of ceramic sculpture. The topics explored will focus on sustainability in art, the integration of technology in ceramics, and the preservation of traditional techniques in a modern context. Among the special guests will be academics, curators, and collectors, offering valuable insights into ceramic collecting and conservation.

One of the exhibition’s main focal points will be to highlight how ceramic sculpture, traditionally viewed as a utilitarian or decorative medium, has evolved into an art form capable of expressing highly complex contemporary discourses. The show will emphasize ceramics' ability to articulate themes of identity, memory, and social transformation, providing a deep and alternative perspective compared to more conventional sculptural disciplines. Furthermore, the event will serve as a platform to reflect on how ceramics can contribute to the creation of spaces that invite contemplation and interaction, both in private and public settings.

A significant turnout is anticipated, including students, art critics, collectors, and ceramic enthusiasts. Guided tours will be offered to provide visitors with a deeper understanding of the exhibited works and the creative processes behind them, enriching their overall experience. Additionally, a special awards ceremony will be held, recognizing the best pieces in various categories such as technical innovation, mastery of material, and artistic conceptualization.

The 75th Juried Exhibition of the CLM promises to be not only a space for the admiration of ceramic art but also a unique opportunity to learn, engage in dialogue, and celebrate the creativity of artists who work with clay as a medium of expression. By expanding its reach, this event reaffirms the mission of the Ceramic League of Miami and the Fine Art Ceramic Center to promote and preserve the beauty, technique, and conceptual power of contemporary ceramics.
